But due to some reasons, commercial concrete polishing has still not made it to the top choice in the house:
  • Hardness: There is no denying that concrete in itself is hard and many people do not find it comfortable underfoot. A glass dropped on the floor does not have a chance of survival, and there may be concerns regarding the safety of small children and elderly households especially areas that are the rugs.
  • Moisture: The concrete can become unacceptably damp if the humidity starts to migrate up underneath the slab in basements that are below-grade. Leaky gutters and poor soil drainage causes such problems with the concrete.
  • Cracking: The climate is harsh for all material, that the reason why an expertly installed may develop cracks in over time. The year-long changes in temperatures cause this, though it can be rectified with the use of patching material or colored cement paste.
  • Environmental Suspects: Even though the concrete in itself is bio-degradable the process of manufacturing concrete polishing requires a lot of energy and the Carbon-di-Oxide emissions are higher than any other building materials such as steel.
Commercial concrete polishing has its pros and cons, but it depends on the consumer’s needs and demands that make it a commercial success and one must check their requirements before opting for any material.
