Things to Remember While Choosing Evaporative Cooling Service

Is it possible to get through the summer heat by using a solution that promises high-energy efficiency? A portable evaporative cooling system is the answer to this. It delivers high cooling power in an effective way. Be it indoors or outdoors, your home or workplace, the advantage of having an evaporative cooler in a hot sultry day is undeniable. Commonly called the swamp coolers, these eco-friendly and energy-efficient gadgets will save your hard-earned money spent on air-conditioners. Unlike fans, the evaporative cooling service mechanism cools down the air while circulating it with the help of only water, pump and a fan.

If you are planning to make the best out of evaporative coolers, there are certain aspects to consider

Evaporative Cooling Service

Suitable Area

Before installing the swamp cooler, you need to understand whether the evaporative cooling service is appropriate for the area and surroundings. For example, you can install the cooler in the farm, but not near a water source as there is a potential electrical hazard. The common places where these coolers can be set up are home, restaurant, cafeteria, grocery, and other convenience shops, malls, educational institutions, religious institutions, laundry, gym, showroom, farm, factory, etc. You can use coolers in –

  • Outdoor Areas –Covered patios, backyard, tailgating, decks, plain rooftops.
  • Semi-Outdoor Areas –Open garages, porches, workshops, shops, al-fresco diners.
  • Indoor Areas –Dry and hot ambiance with open-air source (door or window) such as living room, bedroom, kitchen, sunrooms.
  • Outdoor Commercial Usage –Sports events, festivals, event spaces, outdoor events, barns and loading bays, and more.

Suitable Climate

While choosing an evaporative cooling service, you should check the climatic condition of your area or the place where you plan for installing the cooler. The higher the temperature and lower the humidity, the more effective a cooler would be. Always check the relative humidity and summer temperature of the area to see how much the cooling service can suffice.

In hot weather with abundant dry air, an evaporative cooler can reduce up to 20-400F temperature. Generally, if the air produced is cooler than 700F, people find it comfortable while if it is warmer than 750F, the comfort level changes significantly.

Size of Cooler According To The Space

Evaporative Cooling Service

Your evaporative cooling service will burn significant energy if the size of the cooler is small in respect to space. The fresh air circulated through the environment each minute is denoted by CFM (Cubic Feet per Minute) and the amount of air produced by a cooler is denoted by CMH (Cubic Meters per Hour). The majority of evaporative coolers come with 2500-13000 CMH.

  • The air exchange times per hour in a normal environment is 20-30, 25-40 in crowded public places, 35-45 in high-temperature areas, and 45-55 in smelly or polluted areas. For spot cooling, it will be 90-120 times.
  • Recommended CFM in evaporative cooling service are 200-750 for 250sqft, 751-2000 for 251-500sqft, 2001-4000 for 501-1000sqft, 4001-7500 for 1001-2000sqft and over 7501 for above 2000sqft.
  • An additional 20% CFM should be added when the ceiling is higher than 8ft, if more than two people are present in the area if a number of heat-generating appliances are present and the area gets direct sunlight.

Other Features

The evaporative cooling service can be better if you choose one with a hose connector for continuous water supply, oscillating louvers for using in a wide area, casters for better portability, and ABS material for durability.

  • Cooling Pads –Aspen pads are cheap but have higher maintenance, low durability, and efficiency than honeycomb pads. For optimum performance, a minimum of 90mm thickness is needed.
  • Remote Control –Control panel with a timer for sleep mode offers convenience. You need a speed regulation feature also.
  • Water Tank –You need a preset level indicator to automate water fill-up and prevent water spillage. Choose one with a drain valve for a convenient and frequent water change.
  • Shutoff Dampeners –It reduces the loss of cooling.

While being cost-effective, these solutions come packed in a portable design with heavy-duty wheels. A perfect substitute to commercial-grade fans, the evaporative coolers humidify dry air naturally so that you do not have to suffer from a sore throat, itchy eyes, and rough skin.
